Welcome to the Wedding Ceremonies- Michigan Website Your wedding day is something you will always remember. It's the beginning of your new life together, and the formal pronouncement of your love for each other. Whatever the size and style of your wedding, it will call for important decisions and special planning to make this the once-in-a-lifetime event you've always imagined. And, one of the first questions will be, "Who will perform the ceremony?" It's an important question for several reasons. First, the person you choose can have a strong influence on how the ceremony looks and sounds-- will it be a religious service? What religion? Would you prefer a strictly secular or civil service with no religious language at all? Maybe you'd like something in between-- is that possible? Can you choose some of the content yourself? Are you of different faiths or nationalities-- Would you like a ceremony which honors that diversity? Secondly, a particular minister, judge, priest or other authorized wedding officiant may not be available for the date, time and location you have in mind. Often they perform weddings only in one church or courthouse, on specific days, fitting a ceremony into their schedule. Most important, you want someone who will be there for the two of you! Someone with the knowledge and experience to give you good advice, suggest additional resources, and make sure this is the kind of wedding ceremony you want it to be! As you explore this site, you'll learn about our very special minister and wedding officiant*, Rev. Ron Heilner. You'll also hear about the services we provide, and how we provide them. For additional information, or to talk about having us perform your wedding ceremony, just click the "Let's Talk" button for email and telephone instructions. *(Those legally authorized to perform weddings as an "officiant," or "celebrant" may be a justice of the peace, mayor, county clerk, a judge, or members of the clergy such as a minister, priest or rabbi. Certain ministers are able to perform both religious and secular/non-religious ceremonies.) Copyright © 2005 Wedding Ceremonies- Michigan. All rights reserved. |
